I had to fuss with some photos in what turned out to be "post-production" but I think they're all there now!
By the end of my night we shall have remaining homework in all four sections!
uhh...
Answers tomorrow!
Let's keep going! :)
Let's see...
I guess today's has to be
6 May 1981, Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, New York
That's an audience recording, apparently made "front of (sound)board" and sounding mighty good, but of course this is also an OFFICIAL RELEASE and that's cool.
It was entitled "Dick's Picks Volume 13," the "picks" being those of the band's first vault dude (archivist), Dick Latvala.
He passed away in 1999.
The current vault dude, David Lemieux, has a series of live releases as well.
Picks 13 was notable (?) for having a "hidden track" on the second of three compact discs, a thirty-plus-minute "Scarlet Begonias" > "Fire on the Mountain" medley from 1979 at the same venue.
The CD seems to be "officially" posted in its entirety on YouTube as a playlist with ads or whatever.
I probably have the CD hanging around somewhere because I seem to have the show on my hard drive, including the bonus track (that entire other show, 11/1/79, is outstanding on its own, however).
Just a little esoterica for ya!
Take care.
